In 2003 a new shop was opened in Friday Street, Minehead, Somerset to provide a base for an already well established specialist cake business.

Nikki Bowditch started making wedding, birthday and anniversary cakes in 1990 when she, and a group of friends started sugarcraft lessons.
|

Soon, relatives and friends were asking for cakes for various celebrations and a wide variety of beautiful sugar flowers, animals and various little characters emerged.
|
|
Nikki turned her skills into a small business. However, over the past few years the cake making had become so popular it could no longer be part time so Nikki decided to expand.
|
|
Nikki realised there were so few suppliers of cake decorating equipment in the area and so many people that still enjoyed cake decorating themselves she could combine a shop for supplies with her workshop where she could continue to produce cakes for other people.

The shop stocks everything from cake boards and candles, marzipan and icing to novelties, pillars and tools. There are over 120 different cake tins for hire as well as many cake stands.
